Nathan in Color

This is Nathan.  He is the main character from my book, Confessions of a 4th Grade Athlete.  I am thankful to artist Corbin Hillam for bringing him to life.  I tend to write a great deal for children, and really, it is that I always write what comes to me.  I believe it is critical to motivate kids to read, not only to be literate, but to also fuel their imaginations.  It seems even more important in our era of technology use.  I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to use my imagination in maintaining my WordPress blog and to be able to read the wonderful work of so many other talented writers, see beautiful illustrations from creative artists and amazing photography from photographers.  I hope everyone has a happy and productive 2016!

  1. Super illustration! Nathan looks like a lovable rogue. I definitely agree with what you say about how important it is to motivate children to read. I’m sure your book will go a long way in helping that! 😀

  2. Ohhh, he’s adorable! What a sweet illustration – draws me in (no pun intended) and makes we want to read all about Nathan. I’m working on my first children’s illustrated book (for 3-7 year olds). So much harder than it looks! 🙂
